Thanks for your response Joe - I will use your advice, and try to bake a pie.

I am the proud new owner of a thermobaker. Yeah! Yes, I broke down and spent the big bucks - I bought one from Hugh's and I am itching to try it out. I looked on our recipe site and only found one recipe - thermobaker biscuits. I think the recipe needs a little clarification. It says to preheat for 5 minutes - but do you turn off the heat after that? If not, what size flame are we working with?

I would love to see some more recipes posted - hint hint [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Congrats on one of the most useful items for the Thermowell! I use mine mostly for pie baking: use an 8" pie pan, preheat for 5 minutes (3/8" flame), deposit Thermobaker with pie, cover and burn full flame for about 15 minutes, then CWTGTO for about 40 minutes. Your exact times will vary depending on the pie, but look up the recipies for the T-Baker in the Idle Hour Cookbook and have some fun.
